Introducing Yarra Medical Richmond’s resident Osteopath, Dr Ramsay Willmott (Osteo).
After completing 5 years of full-time university study in Osteopathy, Ramsay has been working as an Osteopath in the inner-north since 2011.
His passion for Osteopathy and his community spirit drove him to provide Osteopathy to his local community in Richmond!
Ramsay can often be seen running at Citizen’s Park or along the Yarra Trail, or catching up with friends over a latte at Thousand Blessings.
What do Osteopaths do?
After taking a detailed history of your presenting complaint, Osteopaths generally perform a thorough physical examination including relevant orthopaedic and basic medical examinations.
Once a diagnosis is made, Osteopathic treatment generally involves massage type techniques to the Soft Tissues (muscle, tendon, ligament), and often joint mobilisation or manipulation to specific joints that are restricted or limiting the quality of movement.
Osteopaths of Richmond has a multi-modal approach to treatment. There will usually be a Hands-On approach accompanied by some rehabilitation exercises, medication review and ergonomic and nutritional advice when appropriate.

Appropriate Concession Card holders receive $5 off.
Osteopaths of Richmond are registered for WorkCover, TAC and DVA claims and are able to provide rebates under most Private Health funds (extras) and Medicare Rebates under a Care Plan (Enhanced Primary Care or Chronic Disease Management – ask your GP!).
